Join us for an evening with the authors of the book:
The New Fish- The Global History of Salmon Farming
Â
In The New Fish, they explore how farmed salmon became one of the world’s most profitable food productions, traveling along the Norwegian coastline and beyond to uncover the environmental, political, and ethical questions tied to this rapidly growing industry. Through investigative reporting and firsthand encounters with scientists, farmers, critics, and policymakers, they ask a crucial question: what are we really eating — and at what cost? During the event, they will present their key findings and include a short film that brings the realities of the industry to life.
Now available in Swedish! The first 20 registered guests will receive a signed copy of the book. Mackverket will also be providing sandwiches for the event, including a collab sandwich with GÃ¥rdsfisk. Come join us!
'a much-needed review of the billion-dollar industry that is Norwegian salmon farming. But more than that it is also an equally exciting and well-written story about man´s cynical and at times mindless march towards domination over nature.’
